Sanam Singh aka Sanam

When you get to know Sanam Singh, you don't realize at first that she's going to throw it all out when it comes to 'Breaking'. No wonder, because the young woman, who was born, grew up and currently lives in Pforzheim, has created an environment in which she trains and exchanges ideas with scene heads such as Flex Holik (Gorilla Legion, Bloodsport Crew) or Peter (Rockin till Death).

Her parents came to Germany when she was young. Her father is from Punjab province. "My father was sent to Germany by his family at the age of 16 to look after his parents and siblings in India," says Sanam. She was born in November 2002.

"I've always been sporty," says the native of Pforzheim in a lovely voice. At the end of 2016, the then 14-year-old started with 'Breaking' in a dance school, training once or twice a week. She's making slow progress. At the age of 18 she suffered a serious knee injury in physical education class and had to take a break for 8 months. "My cruciate ligament rupture was like a wake-up call for me. I was completely incapacitated!" In the injury phase, she starts with fitness training and builds up bit by bit.

During this time she finds even deeper into her Christian faith, which has existed for many years, and understands that she has a gift that she wants to live out to the fullest. After graduating from high school, she decided against classical studies and decided to live with dancing. Her parents support her on this journey and she comes back stronger and more inspired than ever.

Up to 6 hours of training a day and the focus on 'breaking' will make her better quickly. From Fabio she learns how to access the 'Powermoves' and Flex Holik also becomes one of her biggest supporters. In addition, she is inspired by Lil Amok, who supports her greatly in 2022 and enables her new contacts and numerous insights.

Unfortunately, she couldn't get her younger siblings to dance, but she knows that 'Breaking' is her future.
