DJ Hooch

DJ Hooch is a Promoter, DJ, music lover and street culture junkie. Hooch has played and promoted clubs and parties all over London from underground warehouse parties to some of the biggest events at the city's major venues! He is founder of the infamous Funkin'Pussy club & DJ crew who have rocked parties & clubs in London and across the UK for over 20 years!

Hooch had the longest running hip hop club in the UK from 1991 to 2003 in Covent Garden's Africa Centre. He also brought over funk legends Parliament Funkadelic for some incredible gigs in the early 90's. Stars of music and film passed through undercover and the crowds kept coming and everyone kept it on the good foot! Around the same time the b-boys (break dancers) started hitting the club and dancing to the beats they weren't getting elsewhere. Inspired by these breakers, in 1996 Hooch started the B-Boy Championships, which has now run every year for 21 years. He also works as a consultant with major blue chip firms & TV production companies, organizes world class b-boy/hip-hop projects & events. He was the main consultant on the first break dance video game called B-Boy on Sony PlayStation which also features the B-Boy Championships as the top level in the game. Hooch has released 4 associated B-Boy Champs albums (King Of The Beats). Hosted two x 6 part TV series on Channel 4 (World B-Boy Series), written two books (Bronx to Brixton and Streetdance) and runs the clothing webstore, hiphopstore.com featuring labels, B-Boy Champs clothing,Chief Rocka & Universal Street Works. He also DJ's internationally and across the UK.
