strong battle between Daniel and Kid Colombia
On time started the Red Bull BC One Western European Final in Madrid (Spain) on 3 October 2015. The venue Teatro Circo Price was crowded and the 16 qualified participants highly motivated. The jury was made up of Kid David (USA), Neguin (Brazil) and Extremo (Spain) who decided between victory and defeat. DJ Nobunaga from the Netherlands lived up to his reputation and ensured with his songs an optimal musical atmosphere for a battle at this level. Papi-Kaos hosted the battle while CrosOne took care of the Livestream commentation.
The first battles for the TOP8 were relatively clear and as expected. Unfortunately on this day Bboy Valo had not the strength and the energy to prevail against the later finalist and winner Bruce Almighty. Already after his first run Valo seemed to fight conditional problems and for this reason he was not able to present skilfully his well-known blow-ups and highlights in order to stand firm against Bruce Almighty. Nevertheless Austria can be very proud on B-Boy Valo, an outstanding dancer who will surely cater for more attention in future.
The hottest and the most dynamic battle this night was between Daniel (Norway) and Kid Colombia (Netherlands). An explosion in the very first round. Kid Colombia who usually scores with his strong powermove combinations and his energy, could not get his foot in the door and lost with 3:0 against Daniel. The Bboy from Norway was very well prepared for his battle against Kid Colombia and acted with self-confidence.
Xak from the Netherlands delivered a great performance as well. However, he failed against Bruce Almighty in the semi-final. Spin from the Soul Mavericks had to admit defeat already in the quarter final. In his close battle against Nasso Spin's performance in the last round was unsufficient. Thus he missed his entry into the semi-finals. What was also very special was that all decisions of the 15 battles (except 1) ended with a clear 3:0 for the winner. Only in the semi-final the battle between the public favourite Daniel and Nasso from the Melting Force Crew was particularly close and in the end it was Nasso who won with 2:1.
The final with 5 rounds between Bruce Almighty and Nasso did not have special highlights anymore. In the first 3 rounds they both were at the same level but in the last two ones Bruce Almighty accelerated and persuaded the jury. Exhausted but happy he gave a short interview via the Red Bull BC One Livestream after the competition.
