Team Austria is ready for BOTY Central Europe 2016

After the first success in 2015 and the positive development of the project "Team Austria" it was already clear after the last BOTY Central Europe that this will be continued. Also at the preselection for Marseille Battle Pro in Ulm (Germany) in March of this year the guys have proven how thirsty they are for battling and dancing. Now, almost one year later, the new challenge "Battle of the Year Central Europe 2016" is on the doorstep.

This year there are even good chances for the team around the coach Mike Saretzki aka Funky Mike to make it until the final and, with a little bit of luck, even to the Battle of the Year World Final in Germany. In the last months the Austrian b-boys have accelerated also internationally a great deal and have become active more than ever. Some of them presented themselves in a very strong way and staged battles at eye level with big heads of the scene such as Intus against Klesio (Brazil) at the Hall of Dance Battle in Munich in the beginning of July.

The 18 individual characters particularly complement each other in their diversity. First of all we have Patrix and Che Che, the absolute power machines with breathtaking, acrobatic skills, followed by the all-round dancers El Vasi, Chris Cross and Mogli, the one with great improvisation skills. Rock'n'Rolli, Phreez, Hooman and Kidoum bring style, character and flow in to the team, which perfectly complement with the powerful signature moves of Intus, Valo and Uncrowned. Calm and the necessary experience are delivered by "old hands" such as Dr. Ill, Uncle Willi, Stifler and Michel aka 99Moves. Sunji and Avatar Joe are the ones who, with their special characters and astounding moves, put the cherry on the cake.

If all that is enough for a good placement or even a victory at this year's qualification for the biggest international Breaking Battle in the world, the Battle of the Year 2016 in Essen (Germany) in October 2016, will be decided by an experienced jury consisting of active dancers such as Red Bull BC One All Star Menno (NL) and Artur from Deep Trip (CH) as well as by living legends as Crazy (CH) and Renegade (UK). The finest of battle beats will be played by DJ Lean Rock from the USA. The local matadors Michi aka Your favourite B-Boy Host (CH) and Kyuubi (CH) will ensure a great atmosphere and provide the necessary information to the audience.
