The Gr818ers

We are a collective of artists and social activists dedicated to improving the community of Pacoima and the San Fernando Valley, CA (“818″ is the area code). We continue to be an effective youth empowerment group by hosting free music and dance workshops, as well as running after-school tutoring/mentoring programs. The group works alongside non-profit organizations to provide underprivileged youth with Hip Hop youth programs promoting self-empowerment and expression. The GR818ERS have been recognized by California Senator Alex Padilla, Councilmember Richard Alarcón, Assemblymember Felipe Fuentes, and the California State Legislature as a positive force within the San Fernando Valley’s community and a movement for social change through the positive influences of Hip Hop.
