La Halla Kingzoo

Formed in 2002, LA HALLA KINGZOO is a breakdance group of 8 dancers. These young breakdancers began dancing in the street with the sole objective of participating in international competitions. After winning the Morocco championship for three consecutive years (2005, 2006 and 2007), their competition level and unusual style attracted the attention of foreign organisers who invited them to take part in their first international championship in Austria. Their performance was enthusiastically noted and several other championships followed in France, Spain, Denmark, The Netherlands, and Portugal. In 2008 when LA HALLA KINGZOO won the African championship in Senegal, they qualified for the world championship in Germany. They have become the Arab world’s first group to represent Hip-Hop at a competitive level and their success was rewarded in 2009 when they won first prize for the best show at the « If the world can’t speak, it can dance » Festival at Hageuneau, France.
