Rules


1. General regulations:

All participants must purchase a ticket to the event, in case of Groove Session qualification will refund you the ticket in cash. Online registrations will be open until November 22, 2019. Online pre-registration must be completed and approved by the legal representative (for minors). Please note that you must confirm your registration on the day of the event and be in possession of a valid identity document. Groove reserves the right to change the rules at any time for the smooth running of the event.

1vs1 Qualification Kids

COMPETITION reserved only for children up to 14 years old. Age is the child's age as of November 23, 2019.

REGISTRATION - The maximum number of participants is 50 dancers.

THE MOVEMENT- Each dancer performs an exhibition passage. At the end of this exhibition, the jury will choose 8 dancers who will qualify for the international 2vs2.


1vs1 Senior Qualification

COMPETITION reserved from 18 years old.

REGISTRATION - The maximum number of participants is 50 dancers.

THE MOVEMENT - Each dancer performs an exhibition passage. At the end of this exhibition, the jury will choose 8 dancers who will qualify for the international 2vs2.


2vs2 International Battle

Groove reserves the right to change the rules at any time for the smooth running of the event.

THE MOVEMENT - There are 32 participants forming 16 duets. 16 of the best dancers in the world (8 "Kids" and 8 "Seniors") will be invited. The 2 1vs1 qualifying competitions will allow amateurs (8 "Kids" and 8 "Seniors") to join the international guests. The duets are composed of a kid and a senior, without making any distinction between qualified or invited dancers, this by means of a draw. Dancers are the only people allowed on stage. No parents, coaches or friends are accepted on stage.

CASH AND PRIZES - ½ finalists that lose: 100.00 CHF per duet (50% for children, 50% for adults)
2nd place: CHF 500 (50% for children, 50% for adults)
1st place: CHF 800 (50% for children, 50% for adults)
The two winners also receive the unique Groove Session ring and many other gifts.


2. Judging system

The system used is the and8 Judge System which will allow the dancers and the public to know the results, which will be displayed on the different screens, which will allow the public and the participants a clear reading of the results.


3. Respect, Attitudes and Disqualification

The organizer, in agreement with the jury, reserves the right to disqualify any participant with an inappropriate or violent attitude. It is forbidden to touch your opponent and any violent, obscene or degrading actions towards your opponent or anyone else will also be a source of disqualification.


4. Risks and accidents

The dancers assume the risks associated with the practice of this discipline. The Groove association declines any responsibility in case of injuries or accidents before, during or after the event. The Groove association also declines any responsibility in the event of theft or loss of any objects whatsoever.


5. Image rights

The dancer authorizes the Groove Association, companies related to the Groove Association or any third party, that they may authorize to capture and use audio and video recordings and photographs of the event and to use its name, image, voice, appearance, facts and gestures and any biographical element for any commercial, promotional or other purposes, on any medium, anywhere in the world and without limitation in time.

The Groove Association shall have the right to use, exploit, broadcast, reproduce and/or make available to the public the elements recorded during the event and relating to it on all known or unknown media such as radio, television, cinema, Internet. The Groove Association shall have the right to adapt, alter, interrupt, delete, cut or make any other modification to the registered elements and to use these modified elements without any restriction. The Groove Association shall have the right to transfer some or all of these rights to present or future contractual partners.

The dancer will not be able to approve of how their image will be used and understands that they may not be mentioned as participating in the event. He does not expect to receive any financial compensation for his appearance in any audio/visual material related to the event.

By concluding the registration, the dancer accepts and approves the general conditions on the image right to the event and the rules of the Groove Association.
