and8 Judge @ The Dance in Zurich!

07.05.2016 | Autor: Grigo

  • international Dance Competition "The Dance" in Zurich
  • at the Hallenstadion on Saturday 30th April 2016
  • usage of and8 Judge for the entire voting
  • with Shift-Matrix and the Crew Mode for the battles
International presentation well done! Developer Dominik Fahr and and8 partner Patrick Grigo introduce together with Niels Robitzky aka Storm and Nicole Binggeli from NoEasyProps the brand-new Shift-Matrix at the biggest Swiss dance event "The Dance" and persuade with functionality and technical sophistication.

It was not an easy task for the team of and8 to prepare the judging system and8 Judge for the mega event "The Dance". Here the implementation of the new Shift-Matrix, developed by Storm in cooperation with Buddha Stretch and Nicole from NoEasyProps, which in addition had to be reprogrammed in to a special case, was on schedule. Due to the fact that the jury consisted of 4 technical judges (dance experts) and 3 life style judges (celebrities) the 4 dance experts obtained double voting rights and thus a factor of 200% in comparison to the life style judges possessing 100%. Only this way it was possible to receive a real and dance-oriented valuation.

A further challenge was the usage of the Samsung Tablets which had to be converted for this use and equipped with a key lock system due to the application. In addition a wired solution was developed to allow an interruption-free valution in case there were problems with the wireless network. This, however, was not neccessary since the wireless variaton worked perfectly. The battle-tree and the results view could be very well included into the livestream and onto the LED-walls as well and thus they provided an insight into what is going on at any time.

All in all the makers of and8 Judge look back to a successfull weekend in Zurich where they were able to prove again who flexible and solution-oriented the system of and8 Judge is. A big thank you goes to NoEasyProps, the team of Imaculix, above all Andy Bohli, to the organisation of "The Dance" and of course the judges Storm, Salah, Betty Style, Burim, Carmen, Angelina and Russel.

The next novelties and system updates are in planning. All valuations are available here
