The first time Yeri saw breaking was in a street show - her enthusiasm for this art of dancing shot up like fireworks. That was the moment when Yeri realised that this is exactly what she wants to do.
Since 2014 the Seoul-born dancer has been a member of the `Gamblerz Crew´. However, it’s above all b-boy Noodle who mainly shaped Yell’s dancing development.
In the online-video-qualification she achieved the first place in the national ranking. In Taipei she reached place 2 and in Kawasaki place 3. Thus the doors to the Buenos Aires 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games were wide open also for b-girl Yell. The qualification for Olympia marks for the 18-year-old a turning point in her life. From here it’s necessary to take the next level.
Clean technique, smooth transitions, musicality and elegant execution are the elements which, in addition to her striking haircut, distinguish the determined dancer. Practise takes up a large part in Yell’s life. Also on a free day she trains her body with gymnastics and muscles-developing exercises. In future she would like to give dance lessons herself and share her experience and knowledge with the younger generation.
With the idea in mind that all effort pays off one day b-girl Yell starts into the breaking competitions at the Buenos Aires 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games on October 7th.
