Battle Of The Gods in St. Petersburg 2016

GrigoIt will be a very special day on Friday 1 July 2016: The "Battle Of The Gods" brings two of the most legendary Bboys of the dance universe together in one cypher and allows the world to share in the dancing fight over 6 rounds!St. Petersburg (Russia). At the moment there are the "White Nights" i.e. due to the earth curvature and the position of the sun it never gets quite dark. So much the better because nobody will have much time to sleep betwee 30 Juni and 3 July 2016. The reason: The biggest Hip Hop Festival of Russia - V1 Festival - is taking place. On schedule you will find a lot of things: Music battles in scratching and beat producing, breaking battles, rap freestyle battle, graffiti sessions, funky drummer battles and rap concerts.
However, the highlight will doubtlessly be the battle between the Rock Steady Crew Legend Richard Colón aka Crazy Legs and the German Battle Squad Legend Niels Robitzky aka Storm. It is organised by Tony Rock of the Top Nine Crew from St. Petersburg (Russia). Talks had started in January 2016 and without further ado it was fixed. For several months the both opponents, who are usually good friends, have been intensively preparing themselves for this challenge. Each one wants to be prepared and deliver - spectators from all over the world - a great show.
Many dance enthusiats have already booked their ticket for St. Petersburg and applied for a visa. It will be a moment the world hasn't seen before and which won't come a second time. A milestone and a story which will be told even after many years is coming up in two weeks. The team of and8.dance will be present and report live on this legendary and epic event.
