YOG Judges Training Session in Philadelphia (USA)

GrigoEin weiterer Meilenstein in Richtung Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Buenos Aires 2018 ist geschafft. Nach der ersten Online-Training-Session für Jurymitglieder im Rahmen von "Breaking for Gold", die im Juni 2017 stattfand, trafen sich nun Mitglieder des YOG Judging Teams im Vorfeld des YOG Continental Qualifiers für Amerika in Wayne, Pennsylvania (USA).
Nach einer intensiven funktionellen Einweisung durch Storm und Entwickler Dominik Fahr von and8, hatten alle Jurymitglieder die Möglichkeit erste Erfahrungen mit den optimierten Features des "Trivium Value Systems" zu machen und Fragen zu stellen. Danach folgten verschiedene Anwendungsbeispiele, die mit Hilfe von Videoaufnahmen realitätsnah umgesetzt wurden. Kurze Analysen der einzelnen Bewertungen, Austausch untereinander und intensive Diskussionen steigerten die Effizienz dieser Trainingssession und untermalten die Notwendigkeit. Mit Zufriedenheit, Motivation und einem guten Gefühl für den bevorstehenden Qualifier endete der knapp 2-stündige Workshop.
Das "Trivium Value System" ist das Bewertungssystem der Zukunft. Es wurde von Niels Robitzky aka Storm und Kevin Gopie aka Renegade speziell für die Bewertung von Tanzbattles im Rahmen von "Breaking for Gold" (by WDSF) entwickelt. Mit diesem Tool hat jeder Juror die Möglichkeit eine klare und transparente Wertung abzugeben und dabei wesentliche Kriterien und Werte der urbanen Tanzkultur in seiner Bewertung aufzugreifen. Die Eingabe der Bewertung erfolgt über diverse "Buttons" und insgesamt 6 Fader die jeweils einem Kriterium zugeordnet sind und unterschiedliche Wertigkeiten besitzen.
Neben den Jurymitgliedern Storm, Renegade, Moy, Narumi und Jeskilz sowie den Verantwortlichen des Judging Systems, Dominik Fahr und Patrick Grigo von and8, wohnten auch Projektleiter Thomas Hergenröther und Assistenz Yalda Ghods, WDSF-Vertreter Roland Hilfiker und der Leiter des Gastgeberteams Joe Stolte der Session bei. Weitere Gäste waren Cros1 und der amerikanische Tanzlegionär Poe One, die beide mit großen Interesse die Session mitverfolgten und sich dadurch ein Bild vom aktuellen Entwicklungsstand machen konnten.
