Es war eine Straßenshow, in der Yeri das erste Mal Breaking gesehen hatte - ihre Begeisterung für diese Tanzkunst schoss hoch wie ein Feuerwerk. Das war der Moment, in dem Yeri wusste, dass sie genau das auch machen möchte.
Seit 2014 ist die aus Seoul stammende Tänzerin Mitglied der Gamblerz Crew. Vor allem war es jedoch B-Boy Noodle, der Yells tänzerische Entwicklung größtenteils geprägt hatte.
In der Online-Video-Qualifikation belegte sie Platz 1 im nationalen Ranking. In Taipei folgte Platz 2 und in Kawasaki Platz 3. Somit standen die Türen für die Buenos Aires 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games auch für B-Girl Yell offen. Für die Achtzehnjährige setzt die Qualifikation für Olympia einen Wendepunkt in ihrem Leben. Ab hier gilt es die nächste Stufe zu nehmen.
Saubere Technik, fließende Übergänge, Musikalität und elegante Ausführung sind das, was die aufstrebende Tänzerin neben ihrem markanten Kurzhaarschnitt auszeichnet. Das Training nimmt einen großen Teil in Yells Leben ein. Auch an freien Tagen trainiert sie ihren Körper mit Gymnastik und muskulatur-kräftigenden Übungen. In der Zukunft möchte sie selbst Tanzunterricht geben und ihr Wissen und ihre Erfahrung mit der jüngeren Generation teilen.
Mit dem Gedanken, dass alle Mühe sich eines Tages auszahlt, startet B-Girl Yell am 7. Oktober in die Breaking Wettbewerbsrunden bei den Buenos Aires 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games.
