Äleks ertanzt TOP16 Spot beim 1vs1 BOTY International

GrigoDer Gewinner des Tages war Alexander Wassilenko, besser bekannt unter seinem Pseudonym Bboy Äleks. Er holte sich beim 1vs1 Undisputed Breaking Qualifier den Sieg und sicherte sich damit einen der begeehrten Plätze unter den TOP16 beim Weltfinale 2016 in Essen (Germany)."Endlich" dachten sich bestimmt so einige der deutschen BBoys, denn erstmals seit langem öffnete das BOTY Team einen Spot für den sonst ausschließlich durch internationale Qualifikationen oder auf Einladung basierenden 1vs1 Undisputed Breaking Battle im Rahmen vom BOTY Weltfinale. Außergewöhnlich war auch das Preisgeld von 1.500 € für den Gewinner. Die Bewertung übernahmen Legende Poe One (USA), Roxrite (USA) und Raphael (DE) sowie Battle Squad Legende Swiftrock (DE), der die Preselection für den später angereisten Raphael übernahm. An den Turntables standen DJ Just a Kid (DE) und Jango aus Hamburg City (DE). Die Moderation übernahmen BOTY Legende Albert Thomson aka Trix (UK) und Rap-T aus Hildesheim.
Nach einer starken Preselection mit 42 angemeldeten Tänzern aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet wurde im KO-System von den TOP16 weg bis zum Finale getanzt. Aus Zeitgründen hatte jeder Tänzer pro Battle nur einen Run und sollte damit seinen Pitch abliefern. In die TOP16 schafften es viele bekannte Gesichter der deutschen Szene, u.a. Soulex (Phi Dang) und Night von BBoy Trip aus Bremen, Acho, Muzzi, NoIndex, Lavilove, Denay, Janick von Tru Cru, Boyka von The Tribe sowie Sir G und Itz Me von Incredible Syndicate. Mit dabei waren auch die späteren Halbfinalisten SonRyan von Los Caballeros aus München, Mallekid von den Weekend Warriorz, Conni von The Tribe und Äleks von Flow Job aus Magdeburg.
Letzerer konnte sich dann im Finale über 3 Runden einstimmig gegen Conni aus Frankfurt/Main durchsetzen. Überglücklich und sichtlich überrascht nahm Alexander Wassilenko ake Äleks die Winnerplate und das Preisgeld entgegen und strahlte über beide Ohren. Mit den Worten "Ich flieg heute auf einer Rakete nach Hause" verabschiedete sich der sympatische und sozial sehr engagierte Magdeburger an die frische Luft um einmal kräftig durchzuatmen und zu realisieren, welchen Erfolg er gerade erzielt hatte und welche Ehre ihm damit zu Teil wird. Er wird Deutschland Ende Oktober bei der finalen Endrunde der TOP16 der Welt vertreten.
Als Fazit ist zunächst den beiden DJs Just a Kid und Jango ein großes Lob auszusprechen. Von Anfang bis Ende lieferten sie unglaublich geniale Musik und halfen damit die Energie für die Tänzer über die gesamten 5 Stunden der Battles aufrecht zu erhalten. Schade war, dass trotz der vielen Teilnehmer und des laut Jury hohen Niveaus, viele bekannte Gesichter der deutschen Szene nicht anwesend waren. Die Organisation war wieder einmal top und das BOTY Team gibt sich jedes Jahr die größte Mühe um einen entsprechenden Rahmen zu schaffen und somit der deutschen Szene einen Spot zu liefern um auch international wieder mehr Fuß zu fassen und präsent zu sein.
