Steve Lavelua aka Veusty

Born in Paris and currently based in Amsterdam, Veusty started to dance in 1991 during the era when MC Hammer, Kid and Play and The Fresh Prince were regularly on TV. Veusty was influenced by the way they were dancing and started to practice “New Jack Swing”; one of the coolest and “hypest” dance and music genres in town. He was also influenced by b-boy culture and began breaking. In 1997, Veusty discovered his interest for House dancing whilst in New York City and became one of best House dancers on the underground scene as well as dominating in Hip Hop Freestyle. He stayed mostly in the underground scene for 9 years and then started performing for different events, shows and artist.

Veusty gained mainstream recognition in 2005 and was personally selected by Madonna to be part of her “Confessions” tour in 2006. It was on this tour that he first started to assist Madonna as dancer/choreographer along with the Talauega Brothers, under the direction of the infamous Jamie king (Michael Jackson’s dancer on Dangerous and History tours). During his years of touring with Madonna, Veusty developed his abilities and skills as a both a dancer and choreographer. He is highly acclaimed and travels the world sharing his knowledge and experiences. His DJ skills are on point and Veusty knows how to bring the hype in a battle and fill a dance floor at a party!
