Brian Green aka “Footwork”, is a choreagrapher, teacher and dancer, who began dancing at eight years old. He studied tap, jazz, ballet, modern and African. In 1983 he went to New York wanting to learn more about popping, became part of the Hiphop culture and found the House and Freestyle culture in the clubs. He created a unique and very fast footwork style that gave him his name around the underground scene of New York and abroad. In his following career he has worked with many artists such as Mariah Carey, Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefanie, Salt-N-Pepa, Busta Rhymes, Masters at Work and many many more. He was a judge for So You Think You Can Dance in Singapore, he won an American Choreographers Award for Best Hiphop Choreography in a Music Video, created the House Dance Conference and was a Foundation Team Member of Red Bull Beat Riders. In the last ten years, his teaching has focused on the history of dances in the Funk, Hiphop and House culture throughout the US, Europe, Asia and Africa.
